What in the World is this Kickstarter Thing?

“People don’t have time for us to do it any other way than the right way-the first time.”
                                                                                                        -Amy Strezinski, Founder of Socks2BeYou.com

Kickstarter.com is a place where a person exposes their dreams for other people to examine and embrace, and sometimes reject.  Their dream is crafted in various media and then exposed to the world by posting it to the Kickstarter website @ Kickstarter.com.

An integral part of engineering the Kickstarter plan is determining the amount of investment needed to attain the goals and setting a time frame in which to meet this goal, which is usually 40-60 days.  Kickstarter is all or nothing.  Backers’ credit cards are only charged if the campaign goal is met at the time of the expiration of the campaign.

In order to offer a wide variety of bold colors and designs in three different sock lines, Socks2BeYou.com set a goal of $35,000 and 60 days to attain that goal.  There are only 38 days left to attain the goal.

When the Socks2BeYou campaign went live, Amy and Stacy began sharing their dream and exhibiting their enthusiasm.  Family, friends and complete strangers embraced their hopes with a simple pre-order.  When the campaign timeline expires, the funds will be collected-only if the goal is met.  When the funds are collected, the product is manufactured and shipped to you.

Socks2BeYou.com is founded by AmyStrezinski and Stacy Stirling.  Their collaboration with Hannah’s Socks enables two fantastic ideas to come to fruition.  Amy and Stacy are enabled and entrusted by you to be self sufficient and successful business owners and, at the same time, Hannah’s Socks is able to continue to give back to the community in a valuable way that helps people who are currently down on their luck.

What Socks2BeYou.com and Hannah's Socks are not?  They aren't Mega-organizations funded by large industry money.  They aren't living amongst the mega landscape on the East Coast or the West Coast where the fashion and non profit industries flourish.  They are simple middle class, hard working, grass roots organizations that are co-existing in Middle America, Toledo-Ohio.  One might say, they are the underdogs of their respective industries.

Please help support this great For Profit-Non Profit collaboration, the underdogs of their industries, by pledging and promoting Socks2BeYou.com & Hannah’s Sock's kickstarter launch @ http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/socks2beyou/add-spring-to-your-step-with-socks-2-be-you-b-funk
